First Unit of China's Second-Largest Hydropower Station Begins General Assembly
BEIJING--July 2, 2012--Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Gezhouba Group Mechanical and Electrical Construction Company Limited (Yichang, Hubei), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) (Beijing), completed the erection of the first rotor (Unit 8) in the left bank powerhouse of China Three Gorges Corporation's (CTGC) (Yichang, Hubei) 13.86-gigawatt (GW) Xiluodu Hydropower Project on June 20, 2012. The general assembly for the first unit of the Xiluodu project has kicked off, paving a firm foundation for the completion of dry testing within this year, as well as the commencing of commercial operations next year, according to an announcement from CEEC on June 27.
