GALWAY, IRELAND--May 28, 2012 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) French energy giant Electricite de France S.A. (EPA:EDF) (EDF) (Paris, France) is in talks with the U.K. government about extending the lives of some its older nuclear power stations in the country.
EDF runs eight nuclear power plants in the U.K. and is expected to play a key role in the country's ambitious new nuclear build program in the coming decade.
