Costa Rica: El Diquis Hydro Power Plant to Begin Constructions in 2013
CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--March 27, 2012--Researched by Industrial Info Latin America (Córdoba, Argentina)--Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) (San Jose, Costa Rica) will begin construction of El Diquis hydropower plant in April 2013. The facility, which is near the city of Buenos Aires de Puntarenas, will be equipped with four 163-megawatt (MW) hydro-turbines and will produce 652 MW of clean energy.
